A place called Skewer World shouldn't be this good, but oh man, it is. Wife and I were in from out of town, and it was recommended to us by someone in the mall. It's tucked all the way in the back of the foot court, so it's easy to miss.

The guy working the cash register said their bimbap was the best, so that's what we got. We both skipped the fried egg, and my wife added chicken. We were both blown away by how good it was. The veggies had just a bit of crunch left in them but were thoroughly cooked, the tofu was well-seasoned, and the sauce had just the right kick to it. We'll be stopping there tomorrow for lunch.

Skewer World is located in the back of Harrisburg Mall's food court. They have a wide variety of Middle Eastern food and offer several combos. I ordered the Mediterranean Lamb with Couscous. The standard combo comes with one Skewer, and for most people that will not be enough. Take the employees recommendation and add another. They will also ask how done you want the meat. You can substitute the combo sides, and the employee was very honest that Couscous is not in everyone's taste. Adding a fountain soda only cost .50, but they also have several bottled beverage options.

During my visit they were extremely busy, but my order was prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Everything had nice flavor, the Lamb was perfectly cooked, and the Couscous portion was large. Sides were much larger than the main course.  The restaurant also provides an after-dinner mint and wet nap. Overall, the food was very tasty, but the Skewer portions were small. Ordering more of the Skewer's might make the price of eating here unattractive to some.

Skewer World to me is a little gem in the Harrisburg mall.

From what they say all food they serve is 100% fresh and I believe them!

The only thing better then perfectly cooked meat and veggies are perfectly cooked meat and veggies on sticks.

When I visit the mall I love to grab a bit to eat here. The service is great and the food is so good! Everything is homemade from the rice to the pita! Even the dipping sauces are made in house!

This is my 1st choice for fast food!

Absolutely terrible. Over salted and mass produced. Truthfully some of the worst I've ever had. However the note we received was very sweet so it's not the staff.

The Swedish meatballs are way over salted and taste like frozen bags heated in the microwave. The buttered noodles were dry as the desert.

My other half he had the lamb and it was chewy and drenched in some watery sauce.  Who puts picks in Gyros?

    Save yourself.

We chose this in the mall food court before going to see a movie (literally next to the theater).  Reviews were good so we decided to try it.  The gentleman at the counter was friendly and energetic.  He was more than happy to answer any questions.   They had a gyro selection which had us excited.  I chose the falafel.  My husband is not one to order lamb, but knows that lamb is more traditional.  The gentleman at the counter assured us that the lamb was fresh and not "game-y."  He also told my husband if he didn't like it he could exchange it.  So he ordered it.  Our platters came with steak fries and a fountain drink.
The food is made to order, so it took roughly 10 minutes.  When it came, they also included a wet wipe and an Andes mint.  Nice touch!   And the food was amazing.  My husband, for the record, didn't even consider for a second exchanging his lamb gyro.  The next time we are going to a movie at the mall we will definitely be having dinner here again!
